A khaki felt lemon squeezer army hat with red coloured ribbon in band and buttoned brim on one side. There is a large hole on one side. The badge of front reads "Pour Devoir, North Auckland" with a crown and No. 15 in centre.
Generally associated with Australian military the slouch hat also refered to as a lemon squeezer was first worn by the New Zealand Army in the early 1900s. It was removed from army uniform by the late 1950s but returned in 2000 to be worn as part of ceremonial service dress.
