Clothes Wringer HC111


A manual clothes wringer with wooden frame, metal mechanisms and rubber rollers. Hand crank at side turns rollers.

Invented in the 1700s, the wringer (mangle) was used largely in middle class homes and by washerwomen. By the 1940s the wringer has been electrified.
